3 Days chimpanzee trekking in Gombe national park takes you to Tanzania’s only chimpanzee trekking place: Gombe stream national park is situated in the western part of Tanzania at the shores of Lake Tanganyika, this amazing national park is home to chimpanzees, several bird species and other wildlife. Gombe national park is popularly known for having the first ever habituated chimpanzees in Africa, therefore, explaining why it’s a popular chimpanzee trekking hotspot. Besides chimpanzee trekking, the park also has other activities such as hiking, birding safaris, nature walks among others. Other wildlife at Gombe includes colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, and bush pigs dik-diks. Gombe national park can be accessed from Kigoma town, the regional headquarters of Tanzania's western province as nettled at the shores of the beautiful Lake Tanganyika.

Day 1: chimpanzee trekking in gombe park: fly to Kigoma from Dar.
On your first day of the trip, you will catch your flight either from Arusha or dar-es salaam and you will fly to Kigoma. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our guide, you can either go to ujiji town for a tour of Dr. David Livingstone memorial center or simply head to the Kibirizi port for your boat transfer to Gombe national park. Dinner and overnight at the park.

Day 1: chimpanzee trekking in gombe park: fly to Kigoma from Dar.
On your first day of the trip, you will catch your flight either from Arusha or dar-es salaam and you will fly to Kigoma. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our guide, you can either go to ujiji town for a tour of Dr. David Livingstone memorial center or simply head to the Kibirizi port for your boat transfer to Gombe national park. Dinner and overnight at the park.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Gombe national park
Get up in the morning and head to the park headquarters by 8:00 am for briefing, later you will head to the forest in search of the human distant cousins, the trekking exercise can take anywhere from 2- 4 hours. Upon completion, you later head for a hike to Jane’s peak and later visit kakombe waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Depart Gombe.
In the morning, have your breakfast and later be dropped off at Kigoma airfield where you will catch your flight to Dar-es-salaam upon arrival to dar will either catch your flight home or be dropped at the destination of your choice.
