Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is one of Tanzania’s most diverse and easily accessible safari destinations, located just 45 minutes from Arusha town. Covering 552 square kilometers, the park is known for its stunning landscapes, including the lush rainforests of Mount Meru, the Momella Lakes, open savannahs, and the dramatic Ngurdoto Crater.

Despite its small size, the park is home to a variety of wildlife, such as giraffes, buffalos, zebras, warthogs, bushbucks, blue monkeys, and the rare black-and-white colobus monkeys. While lions are not found here, leopards and spotted hyenas can sometimes be seen. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 400 bird species, including flamingos, African fish eagles, and crowned eagles.
