4-Day Private Lodge Safari Tanzania – the Wild Side

Edit Content

A private lodge safari in Tanzania refers to a personalized and exclusive wildlife tour through one of the country’s national parks or game reserves. This type of safari allows visitors to have a more intimate and tailored experience with the wildlife and landscapes, often with a private guide and vehicle. Some of the popular destinations for a private safari in Tanzania include Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After a short briefing in the morning, you will head off in the direction of the Tarangire National Park. The park with its savannah, baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and lagoons is home to huge elephant herds. Animals gather at the life-giving Tarangire River and you should see a selection of mammals ranging from giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests to the weird-looking gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at the lodge.
