4 Days Ndutu Migration Safari Calving Season. This Ndutu Migration Safari During Calving tour has been designed specifically to focus on and to increase your chance of seeing the great Serengeti wildebeest migration. The Southern Serengeti and Ndutu areas in Tanzania are the best locations for January, February, and March to witness thousands of wildebeest spread across the plains grazing on the rich short grass plains. Predator action is at its peak with great sightings of cheetah, lion, hyena, and leopard and a very good chance to see adrenalin-packed kills.
Life on Safari
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short safari briefing, depart for the Ndutu region, located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley, local villages, and endless plains along the way.
Arrive in Ndutu in time for lunch at the camp before heading out on an afternoon game drive. During the calving season (December to March), thousands of wildebeest gather on the nutrient-rich plains to give birth, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards. This is one of the best wildlife spectacles in Africa.
