Discover the best of Tanzania’s wildlife on this 5-day fly-in safari, which swaps long road transfers for more time in the bush. You begin in the Central Serengeti, where exciting game drives across open plains and rocky kopjes bring you close to lions, leopards, and elephants. From there you continue to the Grumeti region in the western Serengeti, a quieter and more remote part of the ecosystem, with riverine forests, woodlands, and, in the right season, the drama of the migration crossing the Grumeti River. Throughout the safari you can look for the Big Five and enjoy the spectacular landscapes that make the Serengeti one of the world’s greatest wildlife destinations.
Your adventure ends with an unforgettable day in the Ngorongoro Crater, where a dense concentration of animals lives inside a vast volcanic caldera. Afterward, you transfer to Arusha Airport for your onward flight to Zanzibar, ready to relax on the coast after an adventure-filled journey.
Life on Safari
You will reach Seronera Airstrip. You will be met timeously at Seronera Airstrip by our specialist safari driver, who will welcome you and then have a picnic lunch ready for the wildlife viewing tour. After lunch, you will continue with your game drive in search of the big cats of Serengeti and other ungulates. Upon arrival, you’ll take up a game drive for possible sightings of zebras, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, topis, Coke’s hartebeest, Common elands, and other wild animals. You’ll retire for the night. You will witness the beauty of the thousands of herds of wildebeest and zebras feeding in the endless plains or crossing the Mara. You will see wild creatures (birds, animals, reptiles, etc.) roaming around the savannah woodland, dominated by acacia trees, to the savannah grassland. Later, you will be driven back to your arranged camp or lodge in the evening for dinner.
