Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Serengeti African Tours, we understand that travel plans can change. This policy provides clear and fair terms for both our clients and our company.

1. Cancellation by the Client

For both lodge safaris and camping safaris:

20 days or more before departure: No cancellation fee.

0– 15 days before departure: A 50% cancellation fee will apply to your total safari price

Cancellation requests must be made in writing.

2. Domestic Flights

Domestic flights booked as part of a safari arrangement are non-refundable.

3. Rescheduling of Safari Dates

Safari dates may be changed, subject to availability.

Changes to lodge and safari arrangements can be made without an additional charge.

If domestic flights are included, any airline amendment or date-change fees will be charged to the client.

4. Cancellation by Serengeti African Tours

If Serengeti African Tours is required to cancel a safari before it begins due to unavoidable circumstances, the initial deposit paid by the client will be fully refunded.

5. Unavoidable Circumstances During the Safari

Once the safari has started, unforeseen circumstances such as vehicle breakdowns, difficult road conditions, weather, or accommodation-related issues may occasionally occur.

In such situations, Serengeti African Tours will make every reasonable effort to provide an alternative or replacement service so that the safari can continue. No refund will be provided where the affected service is successfully replaced or the safari continues as planned.

If an unavoidable circumstance results in a significant safari activity, game drive, or full safari day being cancelled and no suitable alternative can be provided, a reasonable partial refund may be considered for the service that was not provided.

6. Services Already Provided

Refunds will not be provided for services that have already been delivered or paid for on the client’s behalf, including park fees, accommodation, meals, transportation, guiding services, and game drives.

We encourage clients to communicate any concerns during the safari so that we have the opportunity to resolve them promptly and find a suitable solution.

By confirming a booking with Serengeti African Tours, the client acknowledges and accepts this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
