πŸ“ New Location: Nyati Special Campsite
We have relocated from Acacia Special Campsite to Nyati Special Campsite on the southeastern side of the Ngorongoro Crater, near Crater Lodge. At an elevation of 2,310 meters, our camp offers breathtaking views and unparalleled access to the wonders of Ngorongoro.

A Boutique Safari Experience

Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp is an intimate retreat, offering an authentic safari experience with personalized service and comfortable accommodations.

Camp Features

πŸ•οΈ 8 Guest Tents, including a 2-tent Family Unit
🚿 En-suite bathrooms with showers, vanity desks, and flush toilets
πŸ›οΈ Choice of Kingsize, Twin, or Triple Beds
β˜• Lounge area with complimentary Tanzanian coffee & tea
🍽️ Dining tent serving fresh, chef-prepared meals
πŸ”₯ Bush TV (campfire) under the stars (weather permitting)

Gather in the lounge to share safari stories over a warm drink, enjoy delicious meals, and experience the serenity of the African wilderness in comfort.

Prime Location for Early Game Drives

Situated on the Eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, near Crater Lodge, our camp is inside the park boundaries, allowing for early morning game drivesβ€”giving you the chance to explore the crater before the crowds arrive.

Ngorongoro is home to over 25,000 animals, including the elusive 23 Black Rhinos. It is one of the only places in the world where you may witness these magnificent creatures in the wild.

🚫 No Giraffes? The Maasai Giraffes cannot navigate the crater’s steep slopes, making them a rare sight in this area.

For a cultural experience, visit a Maasai Boma just a few kilometers away to meet the local Maasai people and learn about their traditional way of life.

Activities & Experiences

From our Ngorongoro Camp, embark on a variety of unforgettable adventures:

πŸ₯Ύ Hike to Empakaai Crater – A full-day trek with spectacular scenery
🏑 Visit a Maasai Village – Immerse yourself in Maasai culture
🐎 Go Donkey Riding – Ride alongside local villagers
πŸŒ„ Crater Rim Walk – Guided by an armed ranger for a unique perspective
🍽️ Bush Lunch on the Crater Floor – Dine amidst nature’s wonders
πŸ’ Weddings & Vow Renewals – Celebrate your love in traditional Maasai style

πŸ“… Advance booking required – Contact our reservations officer for pricing and details.

Guest Testimonials

🌟 β€œWe had a lovely time meeting fellow travelers over pre-dinner drinks, enjoying great food, and sleeping in comfy beds with hot water bottles. Returning from a fantastic crater tour where we saw baby elephants, zebras, warthogs, and monkeys, our kids were thrilled to discover a herd of 50 elephants right beyond our tent. We watched themβ€”including the babiesβ€”until local cattle herders guided them away. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. A fantastic introduction to Africa!”
