A Legacy of Passion & Hospitality
The Plantation Lodge is the realization of a dream nurtured by German proprietors, Renate and Udo Marahrens. With a background in farming across West Africa and Tanzania, they acquired their first Tanzanian plot in 1997 and built Plantation House, initially for private use.
Over the years, their passion transformed the former farmstead into an exquisite safari lodge, expanding the estate with new rooms, suites, and lush gardens boasting over a thousand newly planted trees.
Today, The Plantation Lodge is celebrated as one of East Africa’s most beautiful safari accommodations, cherished by guests and tour operators alike.
