Safari Schedule & Timing
Departure Time
Safaris typically begin between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM. Your exact pick-up time will be confirmed one day before departure.
Arrival Recommendation
We recommend arriving in Arusha at least one day prior to your safari. This allows time to relax and avoid any travel delays.
End of Safari
Your safari will conclude in Arusha between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
If you plan to fly on the same day, please book your departure from Kilimanjaro International Airport no earlier than 8:00 PM.
Health & Safety
- Consult your doctor regarding malaria prevention medication before traveling.
- Yellow fever vaccination is not required unless you are arriving from a high-risk country.
- Carry essential personal medications, motion sickness tablets, and a basic first-aid kit.
Clothing & Packing Tips
- Wear lightweight, breathable, neutral-colored clothing
(avoid black and blue as they attract tsetse flies). - Bring:
- Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
- Light jacket or sweater (for mornings & evenings)
- Comfortable walking shoes (especially for nature walks)

Luggage Guidelines
- For domestic flights: Maximum 23 kg in soft bags per person
- For safaris: Use soft-sided duffel bags (hard suitcases are not recommended)

- Accepted currencies: USD and EUR
- Credit card payments may incur additional transaction fees
- ATMs are available in major cities, but cash is recommended for remote areas
Tipping Guidelines
Tipping is optional but appreciated:
- Safari guide: $10–$20 per day per person
- Camp/Lodge staff: $5–$10 per day per person
Photography & Equipment
- Camera with a zoom lens (200mm–400mm recommended)
- Extra batteries and memory cards
- Binoculars for enhanced wildlife viewing
Connectivity & Charging
- Some lodges offer Wi-Fi (may be slow or limited)
- Safari vehicles include charging ports
- A power bank is highly recommended
