This program is a fly-in safari starting and ending in Zanzibar, designed for those wanting to experience the wonders of the Southern Serengeti during the calving season —but only have 3 days to spend on safari. Visiting 3 of the most popular parks in the Northern Circuit with two nights spent in Ndutu. From December-March thousands of wildebeest and zebras make their way across the southern plains of the Serengeti to give birth on the nutrient-rich grasses in the area.
Life on Safari
Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip, your professional safari guide will warmly welcome you and begin a scenic game drive toward the Ndutu region in the southern Serengeti ecosystem.
As you travel, enjoy wildlife sightings across the open plains before arriving in Ndutu, where your adventure continues with an afternoon game drive. A picnic lunch will be served in the bush, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural surroundings.
Ndutu is a key location along the route of the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move seasonally. Between December and April, the area transforms into a calving ground, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
The region is also home to diverse habitats around Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, which attract abundant wildlife year-round. Ndutu is particularly famous for its high concentration of big cats, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, servals, caracals, and wildcats.
In the evening, transfer to your camp for dinner and overnight.

The fertile plains of Ndutu, enriched by volcanic ash, provide nutrient-rich grazing grounds. During the calving season (January to mid-February), thousands of wildebeest calves are born daily—creating one of the most dramatic wildlife spectacles in Africa.
This abundance attracts predators, offering excellent opportunities to witness real-time predator-prey interactions.
You may choose morning and afternoon game drives or a full-day safari with picnic lunch, depending on your preference.
