Discover why Tanzania is one of the world’s most appealing and beautiful safari destinations on this 4-day adventure that mixes the comfort of lodges with the thrill of camping. The heart of the trip is Serengeti National Park, where professional guides lead you on rewarding game drives across vast plains and open savannah. Here you can look for lions, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, and wildebeest, with a rich variety of wildlife appearing around every bend. Alternating between lodge and camp lets you enjoy the best of both worlds: a comfortable bed and hot shower on some nights, and the unforgettable atmosphere of sleeping beneath the African stars on others.
With knowledgeable guides, well-planned days, and no shortage of sightings, this safari offers an enriching and enjoyable introduction to the wonders of the Serengeti.
Life on Safari
We will pick you up from your hotel, and after getting you acquainted with your guide and chef, transfer you to Tarangire National Park (a two-hour drive). Tarangire is known for its abundant, ancient baobab trees and boasts the largest concentration of elephants in the country. You’ll have unique opportunities to observe the interaction between elephant families. During our game drive through the park, we’ll focus on areas with reported animal sightings, with a special emphasis on predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards (since they are more elusive). Herbivores like giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras are also plentiful throughout the park.
Later, we will visit the Tarangire River picnic site to enjoy lunch with a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding wildlife. Keep in mind that small monkeys and baboons may try to steal your lunch, but there is nothing to worry about.
