Begin your married life with a romantic 5-day safari that starts and ends in Arusha, blending adventure with elegance. Your journey opens in Tarangire National Park, where large elephant herds roam beneath ancient baobab trees. From there you head to the iconic Central Serengeti, with its endless plains and big cats, before moving on to the magical Ndutu plains during calving season, usually between December and March. Thousands of wildebeest and zebra give birth here, and predators are never far behind, making for dramatic wildlife encounters. A highlight of the trip is a hot-air balloon ride, where you soar silently over the savannah as the morning light spreads across the plains.
You then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a spectacular volcanic caldera that shelters one of Africa’s densest concentrations of wildlife, before returning to Arusha. It’s a perfect blend of romance, adventure, and elegance, made for two.

After breakfast, you will drive from Southern Serengeti (Ndutu) to the Ngorongoro Crater.
When you first see the Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, and glistening lakes and swamps. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed 2 to 3 million years ago.
The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself, and when you reach the crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.
After spending a full afternoon exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, you will drive to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off directly at your accommodation in Arusha, where you can relax and unwind after your safari.
