You will experience breathtaking wildlife including monkeys in the forest, lions in trees, elephants traveling through the bush, and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. You will visit the iconic Serengeti National Park which is home to 3 million animals. You will have countless awe and with a bit of luck, you will see the Big Five.
Life on Safari
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Serengeti African Tours and transferred to your hotel in Arusha, a key safari gateway town in northern Tanzania.
Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at your lodge and recover from your journey while preparing for the adventure ahead. Arusha is a vibrant safari hub surrounded by views of Mount Meru and is the starting point for most northern Tanzania safaris.

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up and drive you to Tarangire National Park, a journey of about 2–3 hours on good tarmac roads.
Tarangire is famous for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal wildlife concentrations along the Tarangire River. During the dry season, animals gather in large numbers, creating excellent game viewing opportunities. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and a wide variety of birdlife.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive.
Later in the evening, you will drive to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area with breathtaking highland views.
You will enter the Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate and begin your first game drive in the endless plains. The Serengeti is home to the Big Five and world-famous for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing.
Expect sightings of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and possibly leopards as you explore Central Serengeti.

After breakfast, you travel north with a full-day game drive toward the Kogatende region in Northern Serengeti.
This area is especially famous between July and October for dramatic Mara River crossings, where wildebeest face crocodiles and predators during migration. The journey itself is a game drive, offering sightings of elephants, lions, zebras, and more across changing landscapes.
You arrive in Northern Serengeti for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The crater floor hosts an incredible density of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, lions, zebras, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Birdlife is also abundant, especially flamingos around the lake areas.
After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you ascend and drive back to Arusha, where your safari ends. Airport drop-off can be arranged.
