Celebrate your love with a 5-day private safari designed to make your anniversary truly special. Travel through three of northern Tanzania’s most iconic destinations, beginning in Tarangire National Park, known for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Continue to the Serengeti, where golden plains, big cats, and vast open skies create a romantic backdrop, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a spectacular volcanic caldera teeming with wildlife. Traveling privately means your own guide and vehicle, with a pace that suits the two of you. Thoughtful touches mark the occasion throughout: a decorated room, champagne, a celebration cake, and priority sunset viewing.
You’ll also receive traditional Maasai blankets and safari T-shirts as keepsakes, along with a complimentary Arusha town tour. Beer, wine, soda, and water are served during game drives, so you can toast the moment as the wildlife unfolds around you. It’s the perfect romantic escape into Tanzania’s wild beauty.
Life on Safari
We will pick you up from your hotel, and after being introduced to your guide and chef, we will drive to Tarangire National Park (a 2-hour drive), famous for its diverse landscape. The park is particularly known for its abundance of ancient baobab trees and for having the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country. This provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. You will do a game drive through the park, depending on where there are reported sightings of animals (mostly predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as they are harder to spot), as well as herbivores (giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, etc.), which are plentiful to see through the park.
Later on, you will go to the Tarangire River picnic site and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and animals while having lunch. Small monkeys and baboons will try to scare you off your lunch, but there is nothing to worry about.
After the tour, you will head to your lodge in Mto Wa Mbu.
Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Accomodation: Suricata Boma Lodge
Meals included: Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included)
After breakfast, you will drive from Mto Wa Mbu to Serengeti. It takes 6 hours (including all stops) to transit through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Serengeti is very large. It covers 14,750 square kilometers (5,700 sq miles), famous for the wildebeest and zebra migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras. These animals are in a strategic partnership for their survival.
Your focus will be on the Seronera (the centre of the Serengeti).
You’ll arrive in the late afternoon. After taking your lunch, you will go on a game drive in Seronera (the center of Serengeti) until late evening. You will experience the sunset in Serengeti. You’ll have a close view of wild animals, and you may be lucky enough to see a predator hunting or on a kill. Later, you’ll head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accomodation: Misako Serengeti Camp
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
On this day, you will travel to the far reaches of the Serengeti (north, south, east or west), depending on the wildlife movements. After an early breakfast, you will go on a game drive. Later, you will have lunch and continue the game drive until the evening, then return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Note: Animals can be spotted at the lodge.
Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accomodation: Misako Serengeti Camp
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After a hot cup of coffee, you will leave the accommodation for morning wildlife viewing in the heart of Serengeti National Park while enjoying the beautiful sunrise. It may be a bit chilly in the morning, so don’t forget your warm clothes. You’ll continue with the game drive until midday. You’ll drive back to the camp for a full breakfast and lunch, commonly referred to as brunch. Then, later, you will leave for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will have a game drive en route to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accomodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant. Another big drawcard to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators. This includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other waterbirds can usually be seen here.
In the late afternoon, you’ll transfer to Arusha to your hotel.
