After breakfast, depart Arusha and journey to Tarangire National Park, often referred to as the “Land of Giants.” The drive takes you through beautiful countryside before arriving at one of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife destinations, renowned for its ancient baobab trees and impressive elephant population.
Enjoy an exciting game drive across the park’s endless golden savannah, where the Tarangire River attracts a remarkable variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season. You may encounter large elephant herds, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, and many species of birds.
Stop for a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic picnic sites overlooking the Tarangire River. Keep an eye on your lunch, as the park’s playful monkeys are always looking for an opportunity to grab an easy snack.
